microspikes – makes winter hiking a breeze

by gurumommy on January 24, 2012

in gear,hot pick

I am totally obsessed with Kahtoola’s MICROspikes for hiking this winter.  No more snowshoes necessary, even those smaller size snow shoes have nothing on Kahtoola’s MICROspikes, they are a pocket-sized traction system that slip-on the bottom of your sneakers with spikes that dig into all types of terrain — ice, packed snow, wet rocks and concrete. I used them last weekend hiking up a ski mountain, it was almost like I was just wearing my sneakers hiking uphill!  They are totally durable, order your real shoe size and attach with no special buckles or straps.
