I know that my posts have been about food since the beginning of the year, not sure why? Lots of new hot spots plus finally trying to mature my kids palettes after years of CPK and kids menus at all the spots we all know (and love/hate!)  Anyway, after you try Bottega Louie I promise to take an eating break! Make the day by walking over to the FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising), just 2 blocks away on Grand, after to see the museum’s display of actual costumes from over 20 movies from 2010. This is a nice answer for kids ages 5-teenagers who don’t love visiting art museums on the weekend.  It’s small enough to keep them interested but also really cool for them to see the actual costumes from the movies! The exhibit is free to the public and will be open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Museum & Galleries will be closed April 22 through April 25 for Spring Recess.

location:  919 S. Grand Ave., LA  90015
