Check out Bottega Louie the huge restaurant/gourmet market on the corner of 7th & Grand downtown LA.  I know it’s  quite a drive, but for brunch on a Saturday or Sunday morning it’s really about a 20 minute drive from Westside and well-worth it. If your are as sick of the local kid-friendly spots as I am, I promise this will be a treat (for your kids as well!) They don’t take reservations so the earlier you arrive, the less you have to wait (they open at 9am).

The space alone is worth a visit, with ceilings so high no crying children can bother your meal.  When you enter the Gourmet Market it’s hard not to stop for a macaroon or beignet but try to hold off until after brunch for the pastries, I promise the wait is worth it.  Everything on the menu is sublime, from the eggs benedict to the french toast even the grilled bacon is not to be believed!  Afterwards, be sure to take some macaroons for everyone to try at home and work it all off by visiting FIDM, a short walk away, click here to read more!

location:  770 South Grand Ave., LA  90017 (213-802-1470)
